On October 6, 2013, Professor John Q. Barrett was the guest “talk back” commentator following the sold-out evening performance, at The Public Theater in New York, of Elevator Repair Service’s Arguendo.
The script of the play is essentially the transcript of the 1991 oral argument before the U.S. Supreme Court in the landmark constitutional law case Barnes v. Glen Theatre, Inc., concerning First Amendment protection for artistic expression in the form of nude dancing.
